In the third quarter of 2022, the top 5 business apps on the iOS platform in Africa showcased varied performance trends. Here's a closer look at their weekly downloads, revenue, and active user statistics based on data from Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Business saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 41.4K in late June and peaking at around 47.4K in late August. Weekly active users also grew consistently, from 526K at the beginning of the quarter to nearly 590K by the end of September.

Zoom Workplace experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, ranging from 21.1K to 24.5K. Weekly revenue saw a notable spike in early September, reaching $347, and another peak at $461 in the final week of the quarter. Active users hovered around 256K initially, increasing to about 277K by the end of the quarter.

LinkedIn: Network & Job Finder had a relatively stable download rate, varying between 17.6K and 21K. The app's weekly revenue showed some volatility, with a high of $52.2K in the last week of September. Active users also demonstrated a stable trend, starting at approximately 394K and ending around 402K.

Google Chat displayed a gradual decline in weekly downloads, from about 22.3K in mid-July to around 14.2K by late September. Active users, however, showed a positive trend, increasing from 83.9K at the start of the quarter to approximately 103K towards the end.

Microsoft Teams maintained a consistent download rate, ranging from 10.8K to 17.7K over the quarter. Active users fluctuated slightly but saw an overall increase from 210K in late June to about 246K by the end of September.
